Serenia finally exhaled a sigh of relief when Larry left. She, of course, had spoken the truth, but she could see in his eyes that he did not believe her. What would be the price she would have to pay for his unbelief.
She didn't want to think about it. She didn't have long to not thing about it, because she felt the sudden burning sensation that brought her to her knees, sobbing and begging. She screamed as the blood ran down her back, and she started twitching on the floor.
Her dad ran into the room, and that was the last thing she remembered before passing out...
